Discover Yourself Discovering Us

Aim & Mission

transverse RANGES (tR) is a publication about geoscientists. Much in the way that a geoscientist aims to reveal the processes that shape the earth and planets, tR aims to illustrate the processes that shape the geoscientist—our genesis and evolution. Is the choice to become a geoscientist innate? Are there shared experiences that influence the choice? Does beauty and creativity play a role? tR illuminates themes that connect us, celebrates our diversity, and shapes the way we look at ourselves as a collective group of geoscientists.

Scope

transverse RANGES (tR) is committed to publishing original, long form interview-format articles about individual geoscientists in all geoscience disciplines. tR explores internal and external influences that shaped the individual's path to the field, and in the process, reveals the power and importance of culture.
